Frequently Asked Questions

General
What is POGOH? Expand

POGOH is Pittsburgh’s bikeshare system. Bikeshare is meant for residents, students, and visitors to take short trips around Pittsburgh. Customers can choose a pricing plan that works for them and proceed to rent, ride, and return bicycles from official POGOH stations throughout the city. POGOH was formerly named Healthy Ride, but underwent a complete equipment replacement and rebrand in 2022. POGOH is owned and operated by Bike Share Pittsburgh, a 501c3 non-profit located in Pittsburgh’s Strip District.

Where are the stations? Expand

Official POGOH stations can be found on the Station Map on the website, the PBSC app, and Transit app.

How do I get signed up? Expand

Do I need a smartphone to use POGOH? Expand

No. Customers can register on POGOH.com or by calling Customer Support. Mobility Justice Members will receive a Membership Card at registration, and all other customers can request a card for a fee by contacting Customer Support. Customer Support: 412-595-9421  hello@pogoh.com

What are pedal bikes? Expand

Pedal bikes are traditional self-propelled bicycles.

What are e-assist bikes? Expand

E-assist bicycles still require the rider to pedal, but an electric motor automatically activates to assist the rider while climbing hills and getting started after a stop. Trust us, it’s awesome.

What happened to Healthy Ride? Expand

Healthy Ride underwent a complete system replacement and re-brand in 2022. Bike Share Pittsburgh still owns and operates the bikeshare system using new equipment and software from PBSC, a leader in the bikeshare industry. All of the Healthy Ride bicycles found new homes through the Recycle A Bicycle program that donated 400+ bikes to local non-profits and schools.
