Bikes are for Everyone!

Support POGOH and ensure a more inclusive mobility future for our city, and align your organization with a sustainable, joyful, affordable mobility service for Pittsburgh.

Bike Share Pittsburgh is dedicated to working with BIPOC communities and marginalized neighborhoods to better connect residents to the bikeshare system through inclusive pricing models, station locations, partnerships, and public engagement. POGOH has also introduce a unique rental fleet of accessible cycles called Adaptive POGOH on the Eliza Furnace Trail to ensure that persons with disabilities and older adults are able to share in the joy of riding bikes.

Your support helps POGOH continue and enhance our DEIB work across Pittsburgh, and:

  • Ensure prices are affordable for all
  • Operate an inclusive program that welcomes and celebrates riders of all backgrounds, races, and ethnicities
  • Offer low-barrier, free bike rides hosted in communities throughout Pittsburgh
  • Celebrate a diverse Pittsburgh bicycling community through our free, annual event
  • Include community voices in the growth and operations of bikeshare through an annual meeting hosted at POGOH’s office
  • Create an accessible bikeshare program by launching a fleet of adaptive cycles available for rent along Pittsburgh’s riverfront trails

Support Levels:

Community Ambassador Program

  • POGOH's annual Community Ambassador Program connects marginalized communities across Pittsburgh to biking in general and the bikeshare program in particular. The program has grown and shifted since it's inaugural cohort in 2017, but the goals remain the same: build the most equitable and inclusive bikeshare program for Pittsburgh, support communities and organizations who are already doing awesome work, and create fun, engaging bike rides and events that offer low-barrier ways for people to get on bikes in their communities.
  • Supported by our friends at Bike Pittsburgh

Community Bike Rides

  • Community Ambassadors lead 8 low-barrier bike rides between May - September.
  • Free bikeshare is provided for all riders
  • We keep a social pace with routes between 3-6 miles so that everyone can enjoy a bike ride no matter what their ability or skill level.
