At POGOH, we believe biking should be joyful, affordable, and accessible to everyone.

Throughout the year, we host a variety of free and low-cost community rides and educational programs, including:

  • Biking 101 & 201 classes for adults learning to ride or refreshing their skills
  • Community Slow Rolls that explore neighborhoods across Pittsburgh
  • Adaptive POGOH rides featuring adaptive cycles for riders of all abilities
  • Seasonal community rides and special events with local partners

Many of our rides are beginner-friendly and no-drop, meaning no one gets left behind.

For more than 20 years, BikePGH has been making Pittsburgh a safer, more bike-friendly city through advocacy, education, and community programming. In addition to signature events like PedalPGH and OpenStreetsPGH, BikePGH maintains one of the region’s most comprehensive cycling calendars, making it easy to discover rides hosted by organizations across Western Pennsylvania. They also host beginner-friendly educational rides and workshops throughout the season.

Once a month, hundreds of riders gather for Pittsburgh Critical Mass, one of the city’s largest community bike rides. Named in honor of legendary cyclist Marshall “Major” Taylor, this club hosts regular rides that encourage cyclists of all backgrounds to get involved. Their programming ranges from slower-paced community rides to longer training rides, all centered around building community and increasing diversity within cycling.
